The Purpose of the Project
The project aims to produce draft climate action plans (SECAP) in all partner and stakeholder municipalities within one year, to rapidly disseminate local climate adaptation and mitigation actions and to initiate greenhouse gas emission reduction processes for all stakeholders.
Main Activities
- Climate literacy trainings for municipal staff and children aged 6-14 (Adana, Pülümür, Buca)
- Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) Training and Consultancy for Municipalities
- Study Visits (Adana, Pülümür, Stuttgart)
- Establishment of the climate 2030 software and digital platform
- Climate Solutions Camp Activity (for women and young people)
- Climate Change 20230 Panel
- Promotion and Visibility Activities
Expected Outputs
– Awareness of vulnerable groups (children, young people, and women) most affected by local climate change was raised and their participation in local government decision-making mechanisms was ensured.
– Local SECAP was prepared and included in the strategic plans of the municipalities, and all stakeholders signed the declaration on 2030 global goals.
– Innovative digital tools were developed to enhance dialogue on local and international cooperation in combating climate change and national and international experiences/good practices were shared with the CLIMATE 2030 network.
