The Purpose of the Project
The aim of the project is to prepare a Sustainable Energy and Climate Change Action Plan for Çine District and to raise awareness of children, youth, women, farmers, and municipal staff on the impacts of climate change, climate crisis, and response, energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste disposal and waste management.
Main Activities
- Preparation of the Sustainable Energy and Climate Change Action Plan (SECAP) Report for Çine
- Cooperation and Experience Sharing Activities with Project Partner Municipalities
- Activities for Increasing the Institutional Capacity of Çine Municipality in a Climate Change Sensitive Way (Establishment of a “Commission on the Climate Change and Combating the Climate Change” and “Climate Change Directorate” within the Municipality Council)
- Cooperation and Awareness Activities
Expected Outputs
– The Sustainable Energy and Climate Change Action Plan (SECAP) was prepared for Çine District.
– Good practice examples and experiences were shared among municipalities.
– The capacity of Çine Municipality has increased in renewable energy, energy efficiency in buildings, waste reduction and SECAP applications.
– A carbon and water footprint calculation tool was added to the project website.
