The Openning Meeting  of EU Grant Project Implemented by Uşak  Municipality Is realised on 24 December 2023

The grant project entitled “Cooperation for a Sustainable Future: Accelerating the Green Transformation of the Textile Sector through Partnerships”, implemented by Uşak and Paimio Municipalities (Finland) within the scope of Town Twinning between Turkey and the EU – II City Twinning for a Green Future Grant Programme, took start on 1 November 2023.

The Opening Meeting was attended by Finnish Ambassador Pirkko Mijjami HAMALAINEN, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation Bülent ÖZCAN, Directorate for EU Affairs Project Implementation Department Head A.Hakan ATİK, EU Directorate Expert Ceyhan ÇİÇEK, TBB Secretary General Dr. Hayri BARAÇLI, TBB Deputy Secretary General Kayhan ÖZÜM, CFCU Deputy Chairman Barbaros Murat KÖSE, MFBİ Senior Tender Manager Saygın TOZLU and other invitees.

After the Meeting, a visit was made to recycling companies in Uşak Organized Industrial Zone. Before the meeting, the valued guests who attended the Opening Meeting were also hosted by the Governor of Uşak, Mr. Dr. Turan ERGÜN, and Mayor, Mr. Mehmet ÇAKIN  in their offices. Then, Uşak City History Museum was visited.
