The Purpose of the Project
The project aimed at establishing strong cooperation between Yunusemre and Mislata Municipalities through the development of a local circular economy and environment plan; implementing a circular economy program for Turkish and Spanish manufacturing companies; and raising awareness of young people on local circular economy.
Main Activities
- Joint Studies for Training Activities (Study Visit to Amsterdam and Valencia)
- Preparation for Training Activities (selection of pilot schools, selection of companies, determination of training plans, field practices, and implementation strategies, preparation of workshops, a study visit to Manisa, implementation of the training program and workshops)
- Circular Economy Training in Manisa and Valencia
- Local Circular Economy Panel in Manisa and Valencia
- Preparation of a Local Policy Plan
- Workshops and creative design competitions among young people
- Visibility, Dissemination and Reporting (Signing of the Protocol Between Yunusemre and Mislata, Signing of the Decrees of Twin Chambers, Publication of the Local Policy Plan on the Circular Economy)
Expected Outputs
– Within the scope of the developed circular economy, a local environmental plan was prepared.
– The capacity of local governments was increased through the know-how sharing and training program for manufacturing companies.
– The creativity capacity of secondary and high school students was enhanced through workshops and a circular design competition.
– Public awareness was increased through communication and dissemination activities.
